Sr. Backend Developer

Whiz, a 10Pearls Company is looking for an experienced Sr. Backend Developer with a strong background in AWS production environments, Terraform, and Typescript. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to the design and implementation of robust and scalable backend solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend services and applications on AWS infrastructure.
• Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage and provision AWS resources.
• Collaborate with team members to implement CDK or CDK-TF for infrastructure development.
• Contribute to Typescript Backend development, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB to optimize data storage and retrieval.
• Participate in the development of internally developed platforms, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI/CD for efficient and automated software delivery.

Skills and Requirements:

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of AWS production experience.
• 5+ years of Terraform experience.
• 3+ years of experience with CDK or CDK-TF.
• 3+ years of Typescript Backend development.
• Strong working knowledge of Git.
• Proven experience with best practices in software development, including source management, code reviews, coding/style conventions, and dependency management.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience working with production infrastructure on AWS platforms.
• Experience with Gitlab CI/CD.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Helm and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with shell scripting, such as bash.
