Digital Project Manager (China Market)

As a Digital Project Manager specializing in the Chinese market, you will play a pivotal role in our organization’s success by managing and driving the execution of digital projects aimed at expanding our presence and reach in China. You will be responsible for overseeing web and app projects, ensuring they align with our business goals, comply with Chinese regulations, and effectively leverage Chinese marketing platforms.

• Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver web and app projects tailored for the Chinese market. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Market Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, consumer behavior, and regulations in the Chinese digital market. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to adapt our digital projects accordingly.
• Market & Competitor Research: Conduct comprehensive research on key competitors and industry trends to identify optimal strategies for each scenario. Propose potential optimizations and recommendations with a strong emphasis on analytics and sound business acumen. Proactively suggest and implement all necessary actions to ensure maximum growth and deliver outstanding business outcomes in the market.
• Government Compliance: Navigate the regulatory landscape and bureaucracy of the Chinese government in relation to foreign-based companies. Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Paid Marketing: Develop and execute effective digital marketing strategies on Chinese platforms such as Baidu, WeChat, and others. Optimize campaigns for maximum ROI and user engagement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project status, updates, and challenges to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to guarantee the functionality, security, and user-friendliness of our web and app projects.
• Budget Management: Manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues in advance, develop mitigation plans, and proactively address challenges as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience (3+ years) managing web and app projects, with a strong portfolio of successful projects in the Chinese market.
• In-depth knowledge of Chinese government regulations and bureaucracy pertaining to foreign-based companies.
• Good knowledge of Chinese marketing platforms.
• Strong project management skills, including the use of project management tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in English, Spanish and Mandarin.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional team environment.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
